The Sunday evening following Sunriver. Kenden and Tate were in the bath, all of a sudden Kenden wanted to get out cause he was cold, this is super abnormal for Kenden to willingly get out of the bath. He usually fights it. He kept telling me he was really cold, then shortly he started running a fever. It kept going up and down, the highest I got it at was 102.5. Sunday night was rough, I didn't get much sleep. He started throwing up, and I couldn't get the tylenol to stay down. I called the pediatrician first thing in the morning, but couldn't get him in til 4:00 monday afternoon. I was a little hesitant to take him in cause Tate had the flu the week before. I took him in and they didn't do much for him. But I thought I better get Kenden checked out. Especially, with the H1N1 going around. Kenden slept practically the whole day monday and when we were at the docs I had to strip him down and put him in a gown, he also had to wear one of those stupid masks. He looked so pathetic. He kept dosing off on the table. After the doctor came in and examined him. She decided they would test him for the swine flu. We got him to take some motrin to try and get his fever down and they tried to get him to eat a popsicle. He normally loves popsicles, he took one lick and said "I really don't want that", I asked him what was wrong with it and he replied "It tastes like pee!" I couldn't help, but laugh. Here he was so sick and weak. And he tells me his popsicle tastes like pee. how does he even know what pee tastes like? lol! He ended up throwing up the motrin. The doctor came back and said he had tested positive for the swine. eeeek! I was so scared. She prescribed the Tamiflu, and told me that I should probably call my ob right away and have her put me on it too, even tho I had got the H1N1 flu shot a few days before. I could still get it. That night it got a little scary everytime I would wake Kenden up to drink a little water he would just stare at me like he had no idea who I was or what I was trying to say to him. I did get him to finally keep tylenol down and I had to use a syringe to give him water every 20 minutes. I think that he was in such a deep sleep that when I thought he was awake he really wasn't. By tuesday the kid was a completely different kid. He was doing so much better. By wednesday he was pratically 100% again. I have to say that I was expecting alot worse from this swine flu.
Here is a couple pics of Kenden Sunday evening when it all started.

And of course Tate wasn't feeling sick at all. Such a goof!

And by the way in case your wondering why my kids are never wearing clothes. It's because I can't keep them on them. They strip the second they step foot in our house. They are getting better by atleast putting on a shirt if company is over.
